A recommendation that could change
the quality of service Chili’s would provide would be to incorporate a
technological advancement unheard of. This advancement would consist of
implementing iPads or Tablets on the tables where customers sit. By doing this,
customers can put in their orders for drinks and appetizers the moment they sit
down. This would reduce the time it takes for them to receive
service. Employees of Chili’s could walk around with mini iPads connected
to the same Information System as the iPads/Tablets at the tables. There
could also be a setting that would allow customers to cancel their order within
2 minutes.
Chili’s would improve the quality of
the service and also profit from this new technology because they could partner
would other organizations and have advertising options available. While
customers are waiting, advertisements would appear onto the iPad as a
screensaver option. Moreover, this system would set Chili’s even further
apart from their competitors because no other casual dining restaurant has this
new technology. This would improve the service because customers will not
have to wait for waiters. They will be even more excited to go to Chili’s
because they can expect to have quick and quality service.
